NEW FERRARI GROUP BRANCH IN BOTSWANA
It is with great pleasure that we are officially announcing the opening of our first Botswana branch.
Located in Gaborone, the economic capital as well as the government capital of Botswana, we are ideally situated in the Diamond Technology Park, with easy access to the Diamond Bourse as well as key players in our industry. The branch is now fully operational and already assisting clients on their imports and exports.
As a nation in Africa, Botswana has emerged as a model of virtuous cooperation between a major industry (diamonds) and civil society. The government of Botswana works in collaboration with the diamond industry and local communities to uphold strict labor and environmental standards. The partnership between the government and the diamond industry results in the construction of infrastructure (mines, schools, hospitals, and so on), the enhancement of biodiversity (nature preserves around the mines to protect the land and restore what they take away). Profits are then shared by the diamond industry with the government, which invests it all back into the nation, the communities, and infrastructure.
