CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the full accounting function of Ferrari Logistics Vietnam, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, statutory compliance, and effective internal controls. This role requires a legally qualified Chief Accountant capable of taking full responsibility for the company’s accounting records under Vietnamese law, and who is proficient in operating and maintaining accounting processes within SAP.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Take legal responsibility as the company’s appointed Chief Accountant (Kế toán trưởng) in accordance with the Vietnamese Law on Accounting.
- Oversee and manage the full cycle of accounting operations: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, cash flow, and bank reconciliation.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and, where applicable, group reporting standards (IFRS).
- Ensure timely and accurate tax declaration, filing, and payment (VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT) in compliance with current Vietnamese tax regulations.
- Manage and maintain the company’s accounting system in SAP, including chart of accounts, month-end/year-end closing processes, and system-generated reports.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, HR, Sales) to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions in SAP.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and banks; support statutory audits and tax inspections.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accounting accuracy.
- Provide financial analysis, budgeting support, and cash flow forecasting to support management decision-making.
- Keep up to date with changes in Vietnamese accounting, tax, and finance regulations, and advise management accordingly.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance.
- Chief Accountant Certificate (Chứng chỉ bồi dưỡng Kế toán trưởng) issued by an authorized training institution — mandatory, in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, of which at least 2–3 years in a Chief Accountant or accounting management role.
- Proven working experience with SAP accounting/ERP modules (e.g., FI/CO) — able to independently operate, troubleshoot, and generate reports within SAP.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements; knowledge of IFRS is an advantage.
- Experience working with foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) or multinational company structures is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Good command of English (both written and spoken) for group reporting and communication with overseas offices.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and integrity.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
