Promoting Sustainability in the Luxury Logistics Industry to Minimize Environmental Footprint

On occasion of Earth Day 2024 on April 22,  we would like to dedicate this day to highlighting a few of our Group’s campaigns on environmental sustainability. 

Earth Day celebrates the importance of environmental protection and sustainability, and it encourages individuals, communities, and governments worldwide to take action to address environmental challenges like climate change and pollution. 

Through initiatives like our participation in the Air France KLM Martinair Cargo Sustainable Aviation Fuel Programme and our commitment  with Treedom to sustain agroforestry projects with 3000 new trees, Ferrari Group furthers its commitment to sustainable value creation. 

In line with our medium-term commitment on sustainability, in 2023 Ferrari Group participated in the Air France KLM Martinair Cargo Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Programme, aimed at creating a more sustainable air transport, setting ourselves as pioneers in the contribution to the green transition of aviation. Since 2022, the investment enabled sourcing 46.8 metric tons of SAF, resulting in an important reduction in carbon emissions compared to regular kerosene of 164 CO2 equivalent (CO2eq) mT.   Our news about SAF AF/KLM

In collaboration with Treedom, Ferrari Group has committed to planting 3000 new fruit and forest trees over the course of 3 years, starting from 2023. Treedom’s work is dedicated to agroforestry, rather than reforestation, thus supporting local farming communities, following each plant’s development from plant nursery to actual harvests. Since 2023, 509 tons of CO2 have been absorbed worldwide thanks to the Ferrari Group Treedom Forest: please visit the dedicated page to monitor our Forest and learn about Treedom’s work, with each tree photographed and geolocated.
